Last Friday, we caught our good friends Astra Via, the new band from Olivia Mancini and Jarrett Nicolay, play live at the Black Cat for their record release show. Astra Via played a melodious, rock  set with great harmonies full of tracks from their new EP. Opening up for them were more fantastic local folk duo Vandaveer, who’s harmonies could make your heart melt and The Beanstalk Library, rocking it out while having Olivia Mancini join them for a song. Overall, it was a great night to support your local music scene with bands as talented as these.
